Bertrand Fauconnet
The fleetingness of movement, the lightness of flight, the grace of a silhouette, the depth of a gaze, the power of a scent awaken our senses.
The animal world has long nourished his drawings and watercolors. The discovery of sculpture was a sudden revelation in his life, made more present, palpable, and instinctive by its volumes.
His profession as a veterinarian lead him to an understanding of anatomy, but also enabled him to observe and experience animals up close. Living between Doubs and Jura allows him to roam wild forests, where encounters with wildlife are as obvious as his desire to sculpt them.
